Did you know that big-time supermarkets are selling produce like apples picked six months ago? If you’re concerned about the freshness and quality of your food, recently launched Jou San, a grocery delivery website has aggregated a list of fresh food vendors that meets strict freshness and organic standard to help you buy better quality food and will deliver to your doorstep.
How does it work?
Jou Sun is a startup that lets you buy quality groceries direct from over 25 specialty vendors. Its checkout process and delivery service makes it possible for you to purchase fresh local pork from Hong Kong’s Fu Ying Butcher, organic free range eggs from Thailand’s Hilltribe Eggs and farm fresh vegetables from Qinyuan’s Magic Season Organics – and your order can arrive the next day during a two-hour time slot of your choosing.
The vendors are chosen for their high-quality offerings. In fact, Jou Sun meets each vendor in person and requires them to supply valid food licenses and organic certificates. The software also optimises operations flow and speeds up delivery so that you can easily purchase your goods without complication. All you have to do is select the products you want from the multiple shops and your orders are automatically dispatched to the vendors informing of your order and delivery arrangement. Then the vendors will deliver their orders to Jou Sun’s distribution centre where your orders are then packed and picked up by delivery agents to be sent to you at your selected time slot. The cheapest and quickest home delivery routes are crowd-sourced to ensure that your order arrives at your home at its freshest.
