Check out the new Vodafone 710

SmarTone-Vodafone throws down into the Hong Kong 3G consumer market with their own-branded 3G handset in three colors (Black, White and Pink) called the Vodafone 710.

The big deal here is that its only $638 (on contract of course) – down from its retail price of $1980. The cheapest 3G phone from Three are all in the $780 range with 20-month commitments. It looks like SmarTone does have to try and capture some of that 3G market but Three’s new TV deal is kind of sweet and they seem so far ahead that it’s going to take a lot to catch up.
