Apple on Speed!

Apple’s new iPhone is called the iPhone 3GS, the “S” stands for “Speed” – its faster in so many ways than the current 3G model. Go direct to Apple.com to see more, or stay here for the broadstrokes:

  • Voice Control: You can say “Call Jessica!” or “Play Justin Timberlake” and get calls or music played!
  • Video recording and editing: 30 fps VGA with auto focus
  • Better battery life (we’ll believe that when we see it)
  • 3 megapixel camera WITH autofocus
  • 7.2 Mbps HSDPA
  • Digital Compass
  • Same great design

Available on June 19th in the US and sometime in July for Hong Kong and the original iPhone 3G model for US$99 8GB is available now.

Current iPhone owners can upgrade to 3.0 OS on June 17th, that’s next Wednesday for free and US$10 for iPod Touch users and access over 50,000 apps currently in the App Store.

So now we have to wait for Huchinson to announce exact date we can get the iPhone 3GS in Hong Kong in July. An exciting phone for Summer, that’s for sure!
