Sony Ericsson’s Next-Generation “Idou”

A worthy contender for the iPhone…and all digital cameras.


Sony Ericsson announced their newest advancement in cell phone technology, a concept named Idou.

This phone will be the newest powerhouse in the entire cell phone industry, a direct competitor to Apple’s iPhone, running on the totally new Symbian Foundation OS. Many people fear that this phone may finally bring down the iPhone, and even put all digital cameras in danger!

Let’s check out what the phone’s features are.

Sony Ericsson combined the best of the best of the Walkman music experience and the Cyber-Shot imaging experience in this new phone. It features an amazing 12.1 megapixel camera with a powerful Xenon flash

! Most features of a typical digital camera will also be available to access through its intuitive touch features. This phone may be marking the first step towards the extinction of all digital cameras!


If you think that this phone is just a camera-phone, there’s more to this phone yet. It’s a total media powerhouse! You can tap into your favorite movies, TV shows, and videos, and watch them directly on the amazing 640×320, 16:9 widescreen touch-screen display.

It also comes with built-in support for Java gaming, games that you can download through its app store. No, you didn’t hear wrong. There really is an app store! This phone, does everything.

It also has Bluetooth, 3G, WiFi, and GPS.

Not out yet, it is rumored, the phone will be available sometime in the second half of this year, though under a different name, not Idou.
