There’s more to shopping in Central than Queen’s Road or IFC. Hong Kong is widely recognized as one of the shopping capitals of the world, with tourists from Mainland China and beyond flocking to our fair city to spend their hard earned cash. What people don’t always realise though is that some of our best curated boutiques lie just outside the epicentre of Central on the chic and trendy streets bordering Sheung Wan.
We have selected five of our favourite independent stores to share with you, all within conveniently close distance from one another for your browsing ease.
In our humble opinion, this is one of the best boutiques in the area. Dedicated to bringing emerging brands to Hong Kong, you will find designers here that you won’t find anywhere else. The team behind Russell Street have been in the fashion industry for years and set it up after finding that Hong Kong’s shopping scene was severely lacking in exciting new labels. They decided to do something about it and travelled the world in search of the best up-and-coming designers to introduce to the Hong Kong market. You can find offerings from Victoria Beckham, gorgeous printed dresses from London-based Clover Canyon and excellent accessories from Sophie Hulme, amongst much, much more. Each brand they stock has its own identity, meaning you’re guaranteed to find something you love, whatever your style.
