Guide to Shopping in Wanchai

By Roxanne  /  June 6, 2014

Known around the city for its eclectic night-life, Wanchai is a melting pot of big business, small boutiques and bars.  But take some time to wander down the increasingly trendy Queen’s Road East area, and you will discover a host of lifestyle stores that put Wanchai firmly on every decor, fashion and food lovers shopping list.  Located above the hustle and bustle of Johnston street and a stones throw away from Central, it is convenient and has a variety of stores stocking everything from unique quirky pieces to classical designs.

Established in 2006, kapok began as a lifestyle shop offering a unique variety of products sourced internationally, with a focus on quality and creativity.  Kapok then expanded into two stores – kapok for fashion and accessories, and kapok on Sun street, Wan Chai (opened in January 2010) for lifestyle and culture, including a cafe and gallery space.  Carrying a well-edited selection of international and local brands such as Marais USA, Daydream Nation and Heeley, Kapok has become well-known as the destination for exclusive designs in Hong Kong.  Head here for stand out timepieces, minimalist chic clothing and unique home accessories.
