Valextra Opens First Boutique in Hong Kong

By Butterboom Writers  /  December 16, 2014

Valextra makes its debut in our city with its first-ever boutique in ifc mall. The Italian brand is known for its specialised leather products with distinctive shapes designed for comfort and sophistication. Founded in 1937 by Giovanni Fontana in Milano, Italy, the brand has become an internationally renowned Italian luxury brand for timeless style, craftsmanship and artisanal techniques.

Designed by Italian architect Marco Costanzi, the boutique incorporates the brand’s new store concept featuring a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation with a wide use of materials like brass, leather (a Valextra signature material) and the Ceppo di Grè, a classic stone of Milan’s historic building facades.

The boutique carries the entire Valextra collections as well as exclusive pieces from Martino Gamper for Valextra, which is a capsule collection of women’s handbags and accessories featuring original patchwork of coloured leathers. Currently, this capsule collection is only available in Hong Kong and New York boutiques. There is also a new bespoke service in this boutique dedicated to iconic pieces – customers can make their own Valextra accessories.
