Casa Capriz is a warehouse showroom in Chai Wan that offers unique home furnishing, art deco and vintage furniture sourced from owner Irene Capriz’s travels mostly from Europe. Located in Chai Wan, which is growing as hub for the local creative community with art galleries, cafes, artist, designer and photography studios taking residence. Casa Capriz is a treasure throve of one-of-a-kind pieces like vintage Louis Vuitton leather steamer trunks, Murano glass lamps and a Flying Carpet chair from 1988.
Capriz grew up in Italy and is a mix of Italian and Chinese-Malaysian, the proud of owner of the 2,600 sq ft showroom mostly sources her pieces from trusted dealers, collectors from Italy, France UK and Belgium from the last century to the 1970s.
Prices varies from HK$1,600 for a pendant lamp with ceramic lampshade to HK$38,000 for an original early 1960s Tulip dining set. She will also do re-upholstery and repurposing. Seems like another reason to take the MTR and ride down the blue line to Chai Wan.
