Sure, Ikea deliver the goods, but Hong Kong is home to myriad stores filled with cool and quirky pieces to give your home serious personality. 513 Paintshop 513_Butterboom513 is a small paint shop located in the creative hub of PMQ that sell VOC & toxin free paints meaning its environmentally safe for your little ones and pets at home. We’ve fallen in love with the assorted color palette and if you can’t find the perfect colour to spice up your home you can always custom-make your own.

If you have a thing for sustainable living or just want to help the environment, then stop by Bamboa. In the shop located in the heart of PMQ, just around the corner from all the art galleries, you will find products ranging from tableware to decorative items to fabric made from locally harvested bamboo by local communities throughout Asia.

Dafen Art Village

Yes, we know this *technically* in the 852, but its only 15 minutes by taxi from Lo Wu station and this village is famous for its art. Visit the galleries and then commission an artist to reproduce a painting for a fraction of the price.
