The Cat Street Gallery is showing works by young local artists Henry Hussey and Vanessa Wong in a joint exhibition from now to the 12th of July. The exhibition titled Young Blood features Hussey’s mixed media artworks and Wong’s paintings.
Hussey is a young British artist who works with textiles and fabric in his artworks to explore his own personal history, challenging significant moments in life. Wong is a Hong Kong artist who explores the relationship between the human body and objects of consumerism in her bright colour glamorous-yet-disturbing images of junk food, high heels, human body parts and organs woven together.
