VOID is an exhibition by Japanese artist Shu Ikeda. He combines photography and paper-cutting in a method he calls “painting with photography”. The exhibition features urban landscape photographs taken in Japan and Hong Kong. Ikeda then layers his collage onto the photograph to create unique works that deconstructs and reconstructs at the same time resulting in works that reflects the literal and philosophical meaning of void. We love the intricate and exquisite craftsmanship that the paper-cutting brings to the piece.
