The Cat Street Gallery is showing works by Melbourne-based artist Kate Shaw from now to the 4th of May. The exhibition titled Uncanny Valleys features landscape paintings by the artist.
Shaw creates colourful paintings with special ‘paint pours’ and collage techniques, forming beautiful landscape with swirls of paints, glitters, ink and powders. The artificial colours of the painting not only capture the beauty of nature but subtly hint the effects of pollution. They are beautiful paintings that would brighten up any wall.
