de Sarthe Gallery is presenting 15 masterpieces by the first and second generations of the 10 most important Chinese artists who moved to, or worked temporarily, in Paris from 1919 onward. The exhibition is running from now to the 21st of June.
The show features works from artists departed from their Chinese heritage by infusing their works with a Western visual language, where the artworks established important conventions across a scope of traditional subjects, including horses in Chinese ink, female nudes and buffalo sculptures.
