Massimo De Carlo Gallery Opens in Hong Kong

By Lau  /  March 3, 2016

Italian gallerist Massimo De Carlo opens his first venue in Asia to celebrate the 30th anniversary of his eponymous gallery. Founded in Milan in 1987, Massimo de Carlo is known for representing some of the most promising artists like Alighiero Boetti, Rudolf Stingel and Maurizio Cattelan as well as Italian artists like Lucio Fontana and Piero Manzoni.

Situated in the historic Pedder Building, Central, the gallery collaborates with Chinese artist Yan Pei-Ming with an exhibition of classical paintings It Takes a Lifetime to Become Young, which coincides with the start of Art Basel on March 24. In addition, the gallery will focus on promoting contemporary artists, young talents and pieces from the 50s and 60s like the rest of the Massimo De Carlo in Milan and London.
