Platform China (HK) is showing works by Chinese artist Lou Shenyi, from now till November 17 in the exhibition titled Why Flowers Are So Splendid.
Lou shares with the audience a fantastic journey through his own figuration of reality; the artist is one of the few exceptional individuals who has to cope with the challenge given by conceptual art when painting reality authentically. Lou’s oil paintings and water-colour drawings, which are characterised by genuine strokes embedded with happiness, reflect his positive attitude towards life.
The artist allows his audience to experience not only the blissful reality he sees, but also contextualizes his practice and profundity in a fast changing world.
