Christie’s is holding an auction of Japanese Contemporary art with Currents: Japanese Contemporary Art. The exhibition features 40 works of art from 16 Japanese artists, unveiling a variety of expression, style of Japanese painting that reflects what’s happening in Japan today. There are works in different media and styles from up-and-coming Japanese artists like Keisuke Tanaka, through to works by established artists such as Yoshitomo Nara and Izumi Kato, who already have a strong presence in Japan and abroad.
