Christie’s is opening a new multipurpose gallery at the end of the month (28th February to be exact) which is named after its founder, James Christie. Located on the 22nd floor of Alexandra House, the “James Christie Room” is similar to the ones found in London, Paris and New York. The gallery is a 250 square foot viewing room with a panoramic view of Victoria Harbour. It will be used to hold curated exhibitions, educational Art Forums, sponsored and charity events, private sales and auctions.
Check out Christie’s “the Best of the Best” exhibition that showcases works of art from Chinese paintings to Asian 20th Century & Contemporary art featuring artists such as Chu Teh-Chun (B. 1920), Zeng Fanzhi (B. 1964), Camille Pissarro (1830 – 1903), and Andy Warhol (1928-1987). These pieces are from Christie’s forthcoming auctions as well as private sales.
The “the Best of the Best” exhibition will run from 28 February – 15 March 2014, 10:30am – 5:30pm.
