Michelle Obama is making changes by picking up-and coming designer Jason Wu’s dress to wear at the inaugural ball.
First Lady, Michelle Obama wore Jason Wu‘s one-shouldered, ivory chiffon dress to the historical inaugural ball. We love that she is not afraid to go off the fashion beaten path and pick dresses from unknown American designers instead of sticking with the big names.
She makes fashion interesting and the world is discovering new talents through her wardrobe choices.
Pretty much an unknown before yesterday, 26 year old Jason Wu is Taipei born, New York resident. A Parsons student, he worked for Narciso Rodriguez before launching his own line.
Kudos for scoring the chance to dress the first lady in what is a landmark gown that will be donated to the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C where all first lady gowns are kept.
