Amanda Seyfried rocked a bright blue shiny shorts suit on the red carpet. From H&M, this shorts suit is a breath of fresh air in the midst of the routine gowns sometimes seen at these events.
The shorts suit is a great versatile trend as it can be dressed up or dressed down depending on the occasion. Though we love the vibrant colour, the shiny fabric of Amanda’s suit is hard to wear for most women. Amanda has kept accessories to the minimum and paired the suit with a basic black shirt and simple black shoes from Sergio Rossi.
For our Butterboom picks, we took influence from Amanda’s shorts suit combo with a neutral top vibe but chose a suit which is even more suitable for the metropolitan city of Hong Kong. Our suit pick is easier to wear than the one Amanda is wearing and can be dressed up or down for an evening or day look. This time we focus on the Amanda-inspired day look, pairing it with slightly edgier heels and clutch. We also kept the accessories to the minimal like Amanda and just added a rocking pair of aviators to complete the “superstar in broad daylight” look.
