Zara, everyone’s favourite fashion retailer was founded in Spain in 1975 by Amancio Ortega. Originally, Zara was named Zorba but the name clashed with another store, as a result they changed their name to Zara.
Zara is the original fast fashion company. They make clothes inspired by runway shows, translate them to fashionable pieces that are wearable and affordable to the middle class public and get the designs out to store in 2 weeks from design stage. With over 200 people on their design team, working on new creations to ensure they are ahead of trend, Zara produces a wide range of clothes across a wide range of styles. New products are constantly brought into store to keep product selection fresh all the time.
Zara is owned by the Inditex Group, the largest fashion retailers in the world. The company also owns other fashion retail brands like Zara Home, Massimo Dutti, Uterque(bags and accessories), Oysho (underwear, swimwear and sportswear), Berskha and Pull & Bear. There are over 2000 stores worldwide in 88 countries.
Zara offers menwear, womenwear, kidswear, accessories and shoes.
