Japanese brand Uniqlo is one of the biggest manufacturer and retailer of casualwear in Asia. Established in 1984, the first store opened in Hiroshima, Japan offering fashionable high quality clothes at a low price was hugely popular. Uniqlo expanded rapidly on this successful concept and have been selling basic wardrobe essentials such as outwear, cashmere knits, shirts, skirts, polo shirts and casual trousers throughout their 1,400 stores worldwide since.
Uniqlo has also collaborated with some of the biggest names in fashion like Jil Sander and Philip Lim, where a capsule collection was produced and sold at Uniqlo prices.
Part of the Fast Retailing group; a group representing fashion brands like Helmut Lang, Theory and Comptoir Des Cotonniers, Uniqlo opened their flagship store in Hong Kong in 2013.
