
Itlian shoemaking company Tods was founded by Filippo della Valle in the 1920s. The story of Tods began as a shoe factory supplying shoes to American retailers but their big break came when Filippo’s son, Diego Della Valle took over management and launched their own shoes under the Tods name with the Gommino loafer. The Gommino, handmade from the softest leather was a hit in the fashion world and was soon coveted by y Hollywood stars like Audrey Hepburn and Carey Grant.
Today, Tods has expanded to many product range and entered different markets however all their shoes are still handmade by artisans in Italy and the Gommino loafer is still the best seller. Besides from the Gommino loafers, Tods are also known for their stylish handbags, particularly the D- bag which is named after Princess Diana.
They have 3 stores in Hong Kong that sells their leather shoes and goods for men and women.
