Swiss luxury brand Piaget was founded in 1874 by Georges Édouard Piaget. The company began as a workshop dedicated to making high-precision time movements. His son Timothée Piaget took over management in 1911, and since then, the company has been focused solely on producing watches.
In 1943 Piaget became a registered trademark and began producing watches under their own name. With the desire to create state of the art watches, Piaget created ultra-thin timepieces. In 1957, the manufacture introduced the famous Calibre 9P, a 2 mm thick watch which was followed by the Calibre 12P, the worlds thinnest watch. Today, the company boasts over 20 ultra thin mechanical models and their timepieces are constantly breaking records as the thinnest or most complicated watch.
Today, Piaget has gained worldwide recognition for combing its two fields of expertise: watching making and jewellery. Piaget has made a name for itself in the world of high-end jewellery, most notably their Piaget Rose collection.
