
Known for it’s La Pliage bag, luxury Parisian leather goods house, Longchamp, was founded in France in 1948 by Jean Cassegrain.
Originally created as a range of leather smoking accessories, the family business expanded to small leather goods and later nylon luggage. Retiring the range of smokers accessories, the brand focused more and more on leather goods and luggage, especially women’s handbags, the first of which was released in 1971.
With the brands artistic direction headed by Sophie Delafontaine, Longchamp has seen collaborations with the likes of artist Tracey Emin, regular special editions from Jeremy Scott, and even a the Kate Moss for Longchamp collection to name a few.
With over 236 boutiques and over 1,800 stores worldwide, the brand has since introduced a range of women’s clothing and shoes into their collections each season.
Today, Longchamp offers items covering handbags, bags, luggage, small leather goods, wallets, shoes, clothes and accessories.
