Bulgari, is one of the oldest jewellery houses founded in 1884 by Greek jeweller Sotirio Bulgari. Even though Bulgari’s first store was in Rome and the headquarter and operations are all in Italy, Sotirio kept the letter ‘v’ in the name Bvlgari to pay homage to the Greek roots of the company. Bulgari’s jewellery are immediately recognisable and best known for their bold designs using coloured stones and thick gold chains.
The luxury jeweller started as a single stand-alone store in Rome but the brand has opened up in most major cities with over 300 stores worldwide. The largest Bulgari store is the 10 storey Bvlgari Tower in Tokyo and Bulgari is a listed public company on the Italian Stock Exchange.
