Baume & Mercier was founded in 1830 by brother’s Louis-Victor and Célestin Baume and the company was set up under the name of Baume Brothers. The brothers expanded their store throughout the British Empire after the success of their first store in Les Bois, a small village in Switzerland. During this time, the company was famous for their chronograph wristwatches and Grande Complication models. Baume & Mercier joined the Richemont Group in 1988 and is known for their most notable creation, the Marquise, a jewellery watch fitted inside a bangle style bracelet.
Currently, Baume & Mercier does not have a store in Hong Kong but their watches are available at authorised retailers like Carlson Watch Company, Chow Tai Fook Jewellery and Elegant Watch & Jewellery.
