Trending Now: UV+ Protective Swimwear

By Butterboom Writers  /  May 29, 2015

Yes the sun is out and we are more worried about getting skin cancer and ageing skin than ever before. We’re not the only ones, a whole bunch of swimwear designers are coming up with swimwear that are UV rays safe. They are made of material that will protect you from harmful sun rays this summer, so you can still play in the sun.

So we decided to investigate and found 3 designers that are using materials that are UPF 30 and 50+ that blocks out 90 -98% of UV rays and are recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation in the US as effective UV protectant. Fortunately for us, we have J.Crew in Hong Kong to get UV ray safe swimwear but if you like the stylish designs of Coverswims and Cynthia Rowley, feel free to shop online.
