Saint Laurent FW 15

By Roxanne  /  March 19, 2015

Saint Laurent has long been the favourite of woman looking for sleek pieces, masculine tailoring and undoubtedly stylish separates. The brand wandered down a slightly different path for their FW 15 collection with a decidedly more bohemian aesthetic that has been seen in previous seasons.

With a definite ’60’s vibe, the collection takes inspiration from the decade in which Laurent was designing to the beat of the London underground pop scene. A burgeoning undercurrent of unexplored sexuality was the defining element of this time in the brands history, and this new collection has taken this as its main point of reference. Models strutted down the runway in sequinned knee length boots, sparkly long sleeve evening playsuits and decadent fur coats. A rich jewel colour palette has us thinking about intimate parties, warm fires and festive moments.

Adding to the retro cool-girl vibe was undone hair, dark rimmed eyes and nude lips. The appearance of a re-invented skinny leg 3 piece suit with oversized blazer and sequinned waistcoat complete with dandy bow-tie, reaffirmed that the core values behind Saint Laurent hadn’t gone anywhere. If you thought the colder months had to be dreary, then think again as this is a collection fit for a party. We cant wait to get our dancing shoes on.
