Inspired by modern art, PAULE KA’s Fall/Winter 2014 collection is an exhibit of colour changes, textures, harmonies, fluid shapes and movement. For inspiration, creative designer Serge Cajfinger turned to different museums around the world – from New York to Paris – to create a collection that explores smooth, round-shape cuts made out of luxurious fabrics to create contrasting effects. The collection has a sense of richness with fabrics like hammered silk satin and sheepskin. To keep it contemporary, Cajfinger explored graphic lines combined with fluidity, so each piece is a contradiction in movement as well as rigidity. The Fall/Winter 2014 collection is a monochrome collection featuring a palette of blacks and blues highlighted by white.
Launched in 1987, PAULE KA features avant-garde pieces as imagined by Cajfinger, who was born in France but spent his entire childhood in Brazil. Both countries – with their culture and heritage – serve as inspiration for Cajfinger.
