Marni Fall/Winter 2017

By Butterboom Writers  /  August 30, 2017

Marni has never failed to wow us with its edgy collections, and its Fall/Winter 2017 interpretation is exactly that. The verdict? We absolutely love it, especially the iconic prints that Marni is known for.

Creative director Fancesco Risso who came onboard the brand in November 2016 is obviously doing a great job interpreting the spirit of Marni – fun, unique and eclectic. And that is evident throughout this collection of vibrant colours, modern shapes, fun prints and textures as well as details that make all the difference.

Popular styles include oversized dresses worn over tight trousers for a unique play on volume. Jackets feature ruched outer fastenings to create a new concept of layering while romantic details like pleats and draping add a feminine touch. In the spirit of fall, materials used include velvet, silk, jersey jacquard, Shetland, wools and nylon. We love the boxy overcoats and vintage-print maxi dresses.
