Tiffany & Co. turns 175!
Tiffany Anniversary Morganite
Tiffany & Co. is celebrating their 175th anniversary this year with a new collection featuring some of their most gemstones jewellery pieces.
Tiffany has come a long way since their doors first opened in 1837. Did you know that Tiffany originally opened as a stationery and fancy goods emporium. It was only when Charles Tiffany took control in 1853 that the focus on jewellery was established.
The new collection celebrates the rich history of Tiffany, the exquisite gemstones that they have presented and the gemologists that found them with a beautiful collection on their legendary gemstone pieces. Some of the pieces we love-
The Tiffany Anniversary Kunzite pendant honours Dr. George Frederick Kunz who discovered the lilac-pink stone, which now bears his name. The Oval Kunzite is over 175 carats, with diamonds set in platinum hangs on a diamond and platinum chain.
The Tiffany Anniversary Morganite necklace is a shimmering-pink Cushion Morganite gemstone, first introduced in 1910, with a ribbon-like diamond bow centred with a Tiffany Novo® diamond, on a necklace of diamonds and platinum. (See picture above)
Jean Schlumberger Starburst Earrings that pay tribute to Tiffany diamonds, which after all, are a girl’s best friend.
Happy Birthday Tiffany!
