Virgin Spreads into Macau

Sir Richard is coming with US$3 billion in his pocket

I’m actually a bit surprised that Richard Branson DIDN’T come to Macau earlier. Reports today signal that Virgin Group along with Australia’s Tabcorp are planning to build and operate a US$3 billion casino resort in Macau. Bottom-line if this happens, it will be the most expensive single-location in Macau even beating the US$2.3 billion 2,000-room Venetian from Sheldon Adelson.

With the recent news that the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino will also be opening in Macau, you won’t have to fly to Las Vegas to see the bright lights. Does this mean Andy Lau will be recording a “Viva Macau” song soon?
