Help put shoes on barefooted children in Africa, Central America and Northern India. TOMS creator Blake Mycosie strikes a cord with Hollywood A-lists with his shoes for a cause. Blake, a former banker while on a trip to Argentina, was struck by the poor children walking shoeless for miles and miles barefooted to get water or go to school which caused them to suffer from a foot disease called Podoconiosis. It is a disease that causes extreme swelling, ulcers and deformity of the foot.

Determined to helped them he took the traditional Argentine farmer’s footwear and produced his own version of TOMS shoes. What TOMS does is that for every pair of shoe he sells,  he sends of another pair to a child in need.

Kierra Knightly, Liv Tyler are some the Hollywood stars who have stepped up to support TOMS. Sold in 8 countries around the world, TOMS is changing lives of barefooted children all over. So far, over 130,000 pairs of shoes have been distributed.

If you want to make a different and support the cause, head on down to Pedder Red to purchase your pair of TOMs shoes.
