By Butterboom Writers  /  April 2, 2011

An exhibition on Tod’s most famous bag, the D Bag.

Tod’s celebrates its iconic D Bag with the “D Bag Retrospective Exhibition” at Pacific Place Mall in Admiralty. The exhibition kicked off with a cocktail event on 31 March and will be on till 3 April. The exhibition showcases the evolution and philosophy of the iconic bag from when it launched in 1997 and its evolution throughout the years.

The D Bag with its stylish, relaxed shape looks set to become a classic bag for Tod’s for many years to come.  The exhibition features a hanging installation of the D Bag in the middle of the mall and a Tod’s bag artisan was flown in to demonstrate the making of Tod’s D Bag. We were told that it takes around  2 and a half days to make one of these bags and each bag is made by skilled craftsmen by hand with meticulous attention to detail.
