For flapper and fashion fans alike, The Great Gatsby, is sure to be one of the best looking films of 2013. Director Baz Luhrmann and costume designer Catherine Martin scored the ultimate collaboration when they bagged Miuccia Prada, the woman behind Prada and Miu Miu, to help design the deliciously decadent costumes.

After using existing Prada and Miu Miu looks during some screen shots, Martin realised that they perfectly captured the lavish glamour of the film and asked the fashion maven to participate in the costume design herself. Prada contributed 40 stunning looks for the film’s two party scenes, including the chandelier dress worn by Carey Mulligan as Daisy Buchanan.

The Great Gatsby will be in cinemas from 16 May, 2013.
