H&M and Marni come together for a Spring 2012 collection.
With everyone still reeling from the H&M/Versace whirlwind, the Swedish powerhouse has announced their next designer collaboration – this time with Marni. Known for the perfect clashing of prints and patterns with elements of color blocking, the high fashion label founded by Consuelo Castiglioni will hook up with H&M for the first time for a collection launch on March 8, 2012.
“I wanted to create a true Marni wardrobe by revisiting all our favourite pieces in signature fabrics and prints,” says Consuelo. And a sneak peek at the collection reveals exactly that – bold blue polka dot printed suits, slouchy striped sweaters for men, along with printed dresses and fun statement accessories. She adds; “As always, I love juxtaposing prints and colours, mixing modern tribal with Bauhaus graphic adding sporty utilitarian elements.”
The collection will encompass apparel, accessories, shoes, scarves and jewellery for both men and women. Come next spring, fashionistas worldwide will be able to partake in the frenzy at over 250 H&M stores and online as well. So, we advise you to pencil March 8 into your planners because this is definitely a collection worth sleeping in line for.
