Beauty objects, cosmetics history and more.

Hong Kong’s annual French arts festival, Le French May, now in its 20th edition, presents “An Ode to the Complexion” exhibition beginning 23 May to 5 June at Garden Court, Pacific Place. This free exhibition, sponsored by Guerlain, is curated by Anne Camilli and Jean-Marie Martin-Hattemberg.

An interesting bit is you can examine a private collection of beauty objects from a French collector. And while you’re at it, get acquainted with the history behind the cosmetics industry in the West from the 18th Century to the present, and learn how some skincare and makeup products attain their iconic status. The exhibition also showcases Guerlain’s expertise and dedication in science and research.

When and Where?

  • 23 May – 5 June 2012
  • Garden Court, LG 1, Pacific Place, Admiralty, Hong Kong.
