The big Hong Kong Sevens Rugby (HK Sevens) week is upon us. As the city turns into a big drinking party (and football mad, of course), there are plenty of other things to do. Whether films, yoga or dancing to Tom Jones is more your style, check out this list of what’s happening this week.
Get your pre-drink game on at the HK Sevens Carnival in the city’s party district of Lang Kwai Fong before the weekend of mayhem starts. Join in on the fun with street performances, music and a Rugby-themed parade for some Sevens excitement.

From April 6-10, Charter Gardens will run rugby-related activities, live entertainment and a serve food and drinks from local vendors. Catch the games live on screen and if you’re lucky, some of the players from your favourite team may turn up to sign autographs and mingle.

You read that right. Baywatch legend the Hoff is in town to host the Sevens Kick-Off Concert at the Sevens Village right across from the Stadium. He’ll be joined by Scottish rockers The Proclaimers and ABBA tribute band Björn Again to warm you up for a weekend of sports.

Take a sunset Silent Disco Yoga class hosted by instructors from The Yoga Room. It’s pretty much like your typical yoga class except you wear a wireless headset to hear your instructor as well as music. Registration starts at 5.45pm and the lesson begins at 6pm. Don’t forget you bring your own mat!

A golden oldie and all-time favourite Welsh singer, Tom Jones will perform at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre for one evening. Get ready for a night of hits including ‘It’s Not Unusual’, ‘What’s New Pussycat?’ and ‘Sexbomb’. Partying like its 1970 is mandatory.
