The French designer of the moment adds a touch of Parisian class to the high-street.
H&M‘s designer collaborations are among the most eagerly awaited announcements in the fashion industry. Next to join the likes of Versace, Stella McCartney and Maison Martin Margiela, is French designer of the moment, Isabel Marant. Marant is queen of Parisian boho-chic and a favourite of fashionistas from Kate Moss and Alexa Chung who love her laid-back, free-spirited simplicity with more than a touch of French cool.
As yet, there are no images of the collection, which will hit shops on November 14. Rest assured it will probably read like a greatest hits of Marant’s signature styles, think low-slung, skinny jeans, peasant blouses and the now ubiquitous hidden-wedge hi-top trainer.
Marant’s designs have been reproduced for fast-fashion purposes since they first appeared on the runways, but this will be the first time she’s been at the helm of the high-street meaning that they’ll be excellent quality, beautifully cut and, most importantly, bear her name at a ludicrously affordable price.
