Fur-erroists Attack HK Designers

By Butterboom Writers  /  January 17, 2007

How can we not post a story about two Hong Kong fashion designers having their runway show attached by PETA followers.

Unfurling banners reading, “Cecilia and Peter: Fur Scum” and “Fur Hurts,” four members of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals Asia-Pacific (PETA) stormed the catwalk at Cecilia Yau and Peter Lau’s fashion show at the World Boutique, Hong Kong, yesterday to remind designers, models, and attendees about the suffering of millions of animals at the hands of the fur industry. The four women who charged the runway were loudly chanting anti-fur messages before they were rushed by security guards.
