Super-kung fu, actor/stuntman Donnie Yen (ç”„åä¸¹) is as badass as Hong Kong’s martial arts scene gets right now and this week we get to see his newest flick Flashpoint which was released last week in China to a great reception:
“Flash Point,” an actioner starring Donnie Yen and helmed by Wilson Yip, has set the Chinese box office alight. Pic grossed RMB15 million ($1.98 million) in its first 3 days of release, according to its Hong Kong production and sales house Mandarin Films.
The film, given a wide 500-print release in China by Poly Bona last Friday, topped “Secret,” the directorial debut of Taiwanese superstar Jay Chou. “Secret,” a romantic drama, reached a cume of $2.44 million in its first week of release after opening on Tuesday, according to producer Edko Films.
