Chanel and the Diamond

By Butterboom Writers  /  February 18, 2013

The third installment of short films that delve into the history of the House of Chanel.

Inside Chanel explores Gabrielle Chanel’s first and only luxury jewellery collection. The retrospective film exposes how the couturier revolutionised the world of high jewellery when, in 1932, she presented a collection devoted to the diamond, and how that exceptional and forward thinking range is as powerful and influential today.

Meticulously put together, Chanel and the Diamond features stunning archive footage from the actual Bijoux de Diamants showcase, held at Gabrielle Chanel’s apartment in Paris in 1932. Well worth a watch for Chanel fans, this film just goes to show what a rich history lies behind one of the biggest fashion houses in the world.
