Avril became famous to us with her first studio album Let Go that featured her hit single “Complicated”. From there, she’s been riding high on the charts with Under My Skin and our favourite album, The Best Damn Thing. Her fourth album Goodbye Lullaby, sold over two million copies and features the song “Alice” that was used in the soundtrack of Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. Her fifth studio album, Here’s to Never Growing Up, was released in 2013, which peaked at top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US, top 20 in Australia and the UK, and top 10 in Ireland and Japan. To date, she is one of the most successful female young artistes having sold over 30 million copies of her albums.

She’s quite the fashion icon as well – first, with her tomboyish skater-girl look of plaid skirts, white shirts, combat boots and camo-prints, and now sporting a more feminine but still edgy style with dresses and sleek silhouettes. Avril even has her own line of clothing – Abbey Dawn – designed by herself to showcase the style she’s known for.

The singer is currently married to fellow rocker Chad Kroeger (frontman of Nickelback), whom she met after working together in 2012 for her fifth album. Chad and his band appear in the third single of her latest album, “Let Me Go”.
