Hong Kong will be the place for Gucci’s first pop-up store, called the Flora Knight pop-up store will open this month till January 2015 and will be located at the ifc mall. The pop-up store showcases Canadian artist Kris Knight’s interpretation of Gucci’s iconic Flora print that is reproduced throughout the store concept as part of a collaboration with Creative Director Frida Giannini. So imagine flowers and flowers everywhere!
Available at the pop-up store is Gucci’s men’s and women’s ready-to-well collection and exclusive accessories all in the Flora Knight pattern, which features nocturnal blossoms revolving around the moonflower. There will also be exclusive accessories just for Hong Kong like a bamboo shopper and other small leather goods.
The print was first used by Giannini in 2005 on Gucci handbags. Meanwhile, Knight is known for his work that references historical notions of regality, mysticism, romanticism and symbolism, concepts that he combines with contemporary interests such as fashion.
