When one of Britain’s It Girls joins forces with a British retail icon, magic is always going to happen. Style icon and Vogue contributor Alexa Chung has partnered up with 132-year-old retailer Marks & Spencer for a fashion collection.
So, what can we expect from the collection? Well, Alexa Chung adds a touch of sparkle to M&S, having turned back the sartorial clock to focus on styles from the 1940s to 1980s. The result is a 31-piece collection that evokes youthful sensibility.
The collection features a handful of classic looks like mini dresses, blazers, ruffled blouses and a 1950s trench coat. In terms of designs, it’s not revolutionary but we give it top marks for the clean cut statement pieces.
