In conjunction with the opening of its new London boutique on New Bond Street, Fendi collaborates with iconic female celebrities that represent Britain’s creative spirit on a Fendi Peekaboo Project, to raise funds for the charity foundation Kids Company. The icons — artist Tracey Emin, Gwyneth Paltrow, Naomie Harris, Adele, Cara Delevingne, Jerry Hall, Georgia May Jagger, architect Zaha Hadid, fashion illustrator Tanya Ling, and journalist Kate Adie — worked closely with Fendi’s creative director of accessories Silvia Venturini Fendi and the Fendi Atelier to come up with their own versions of the popular Peekaboo bag, in line with Fendi’s motto “Nothing is Impossible”.
The bags are on display in the new flagship store and are available for purchase via auction. To bid for the bag, check out the dedicated auction site before 30 May 2014, where you can also track your bid should someone else offer a higher price. We’ve got our eye on Adele’s smiling Peekaboo in three-coloured cuoio romano leather in bordeaux, pink and red. For something more elegant, Gwyneth’s shiny white croco with black contrast is the one to bid for.
