Yves Saint Laurent Fall/Winter Manifesto

By Butterboom Writers  /  September 2, 2008

Hong Kong will be part of YSL’s newest campaign this Saturday.

Yves Saint Laurent and Naomi Campbell assault the streets of Hong Kong with 500,000 copies of their new Manifesto on September 6th.

Similarly, Paris, Milan, New York, London and Tokyo will also feel the power of Stefano Pilati‘s 3rd ‘Manifesto’ with Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinddoh Matadin photographing the Autumn/Winter 2009/09 campaign. More photos of what’s to come and how you can get it this Saturday is below.

New this season, a limited edition cotton tote bag, designed by Stefano Pilati, will be distributed with the Manifesto to the first 5,000 passerby in each city. A short behind-the-scenes film and the Manifesto images will debut exclusively on ysl.com on the same day.

This democratic revelation of Stefano Pilati’s fashion message for Yves Saint Laurent, coupled with a traditional print campaign, continues a multidimensional platform for communication that began two seasons ago, and simultaneously forwards a legacy of broadening the world of fashion and taking it to the street.

We’re guessing you should make sure you are near one of the 2 YSL shops on Saturday morning if you want to get one of the Manifesto’s and one of the tote bags. One in Central at Alexandra House and the other in Tsim Sha Tsui on Canton Road.

UPDATE 3:30pm – It seems that all the Manifesto’s and tote bags will be given out starting at 12noon in CENTRAL. YSL isn’t spilling the beans on where in Central, but apparently you won’t be able to miss their ambassadors. Good luck and tell us in the comments if you get one!
