The first images are in – and it’s a riot of neon colours and wild prints!
If you haven’t already heard about the Versace For H&M Collection… where have you been?! The first images of the range are starting to emerge and it seems Donatella is channelling vintage Versace with a wild and wonderful series of colours, prints and detailing.
Donatella has said she wanted to capture ‘the essence of Versace’ and the line was heavily influenced by the style of her late brother, Gianni. The outfits we’ve seen so far include sexy studded leather bodycon dresses, neon leopard and fluorescent Op-Art floral prints, super glam chain-mail and classic Versace black dresses (reminiscent of Elizabeth Hurley’s eye-catching safety-pin number!)
The line will comprise of 40 pieces for women (including accessories like belts, shoes, jewellery and a stand-out studded handbag), 20 pieces for men (good luck persuading your average guy to step out in a zebra print suit!), plus a range of eye-catching home accessories too.
The campaign stars blonde bombshells Abbey Lee Kershaw, Daphne Groeneveld, Lindsey Wixson and Sasha Pivovarova (all seemingly styled to bear a slight resemblance to Donatella herself!), with River Viiperi representing the gents and fashion faves Mert & Marcus on photography duties. The collection will debut in-stores and online on 17 November, with more images likely to be released soon!
