Rag & Bone Spring Summer 2013 Collection

By Butterboom Writers  /  April 23, 2013

Urban edge and effortless cool.

American fashion label Rag & Bone is favoured by fashion editors around the world for its cool, casual separates and laid-back attitude. This season saw co-founders David Neville and Marcus Wainwright embrace a new level of urban effortlessness, drawing inspiration from an off-road race, the Paris-Dakar rally.

The motocross influences are evident throughout the collection from the liberal use of supple leather on shorts, skirts and biker jackets to the palette of electric green and blue. The collection mixes the hard, sporty edginess of the rally and Rag & Bone’s signature draping and layering using flowing cotton and linen in corals and khakis.

Overall the aesthetic is perfect for an urban explorer looking for a strong, uncomplicated but eye-catching look.
