Leonard Paris Spring Summer 2013 Collection

By Butterboom Writers  /  May 2, 2013

Floral prints on romantic, feminine forms.

For Spring Summer 2013, the French fashion house Leonard, has drawn on its signature use of print and lightweight fabrics.

The collection from Leonard is bold and confident, channelling the elegance of Palm Beach in the 60s and 70s as photographed by Slim Aarons and  designed by Creative Director Raffaele Borriello. We’re summing up this collection in one word for you!  Glamourous…with a capital G!

The daywear palette is bold to the point of daring; bright yellows and fuchsias are contrasted with strong panels of black, while eveningwear is altogether softer as pastel shades take over.

Prints, as always, take centre stage on a defined feminine silhouette created from fine jersey, silk and organza. Structured, poetic and yet contemporary at the same time, this collection is one of the most glamourous one we’ve seen for Summer!

A bit of background, Leonard was Founded in 1958 and found fame with their printing techniques. They adopted the the geometrically limitless orchid as the house’s symbol and have featured it in every season since.
